Here is a link to The Rialto website, where poet and editor Will Harris discusses some of the poems from Issue 89. This issue was launched at Aldeburgh 2017. I read at the event with Seraphima Kennedy and Richard Osmond.
On Saturday, 4th November, I will be reading in the Peter Pears Gallery at 17:30 as part of the Rialto Autumn Launch: ‘Michael Mackmin & Two Poets’.
Later that evening in the gallery, at 20:30, The Fenland Reed will be hosting an open mic. I am currently guest-editor for The Fenland Reed Issue Six. Calls are on the theme of the body.
The first poems from (what will be) my second full collection are due to be published very soon in The Rialto and The Lighthouse Literary Journal.
Meanwhile, my first full collection won the Michael Schmidt Award for Best Portfolio at ManMet. Additionally, a poem from that collection was highly commended in this year’s Forward Prize and will appear in the Forward Book of Poetry 2018.
Over the next couple of Saturdays, I will be running workshops from my At or Below Sea Level Project at Ingoldisthorpe and Stretham. A further workshop will take place in September at a local secondary school as part of the King’s Lynn Poetry Festival. The festival itself takes place over the weekend of the 22-24 Sept and I will be reading on the Friday evening. Details are available here: http://www.lynnlitfests.com/Welcome.html
